Cancellation Of Membership
How to properly close your account and end your cooperative membership.
Whether you are moving out of our service territory or no longer require an active electric connection, the following steps ensure your final transition is handled smoothly.
How to add disconnect request
Submit a Disconnect Request
Contact us at least three business days before your desired move-out date. You must provide a final date for the meter reading.
Provide Forwarding Address
We need your new address to send your final bill and any future Capital Credit retirement checks.
Deposit Reconciliation
Any security deposit on your account will be applied to your final balance. If a credit remains, a refund check will be mailed to you.
Important: Your Capital Credits
Even after your membership is cancelled, you remain entitled to the Capital Credits you earned while you were a member. These are retired (paid out) over time based on the board’s decision.
Crucial: You must keep your mailing address current with the cooperative for years to come so we can send these payments to you.
| Type of Disconnect | Applicable Charges |
