Job Description

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for staff, visitors, and clients. This role includes routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure facilities meet cleanliness, health, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while following established procedures.

Job Related Qualifications

  • Ability to perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal

  • Knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but not required

Special Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and carry up to [X] pounds
